Womenswear Outerwear & Tailoring Designer

A new opportunity has arisen for highly skilled and commercial Womenswear Tailoring and Outerwear Designer to join our clients dynamic design team. You will be responsible for creating innovative designs for various key customers, designing and developing product from concept to final design.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly reputable business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion design, specifically in tailoring and outerwear.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Research and analyse fashion trends, market demands, and competitive products to create fashion forward designs.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings to communicate design ideas.
• Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials that meet the design and quality standards.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams in country to ensure design integrity and feasibility.
• Participate in design reviews, presentations, and meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fabric developments, garment construction techniques, and industry innovations.
• Ensure all designs align with the customers aesthetic, quality standards, and sustainability goals.

Person specification:

• A background in womenswear design, with a focus on tailoring and outerwear.
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fitting.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for fashion trends and market needs.
