womenswear Jersey Designer

We have a fabulous new role for a womenswear Junior Jersey Designer to join a well-established supplier working with high street and online retailers and supermarkets. They are looking for someone with at least 3 years' experience in a similar environment working on commercial designs across womens casual and formal jersey.
You will need to be strong on CAD designing with a strong commercial portfolio.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and working with the womenswear Jersey Design team on various accounts designing commercial, fashion-led jersey wear.
• Managing Sampling and Development Critical Path .
• Going on regular shopping trips for, trend research
• Creating mood boards and inspiration across women's jersey
• Communicating with factories and customers frequently.
• Producing detailed tech packs and liaising with suppliers & factories in the Far East.

Person Specification:

• Minimum 3 years jersey design / commercial experience.
• Strong understanding of jersey garment construction and fabrics
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment & have a pro-active approach.
• Strong organisation skills, and able to work to deadlines.
• Must be a team player with a willingness to learn.
