Womenswear Designer - Jersey / Athleisure

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning fashion business who are seeking a Womenswear Jersey Designer with a focus on athleisure product, working across key accounts with major retailers. You will need to be very trend-driven and be able to drive jersey product development with a commercial eye for newness with a can-do attitude.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Complete trend research, design and develop ranges working with the overseas factories.
• Work closely and liaise with factories in the far east.
• Ability to create bestselling ranges.
• Ensure critical path deadlines are maintained.
• Attend regular meetings with buyers when required.
• Required to work in a fast-paced environment, high volume design/development.
• Sourcing of new fabrics and trims.

Person specifications:

• Previous experience working across womenswear jersey / athleisure product.
• Confident, enthusiastic with willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Creative, commercial with strong attention to detail.
• Friendly and positive team player.
