Our client is a leading supplier within the hosiery, underwear and loungewear markets. They are currently recruiting a Sock Designer to join their team in Leicester.  They are looking for a candidate that is confident and who can attend and present at customer meetings, able to build great relationships with the buyers, can work in a busy, fast paced environment, a commercial eye and awareness of current trends.  Previous sock, nightwear or soft accessory experience will be considered.  

Sock Designer  - The Role:

  • Compile trend and competitor research from shopping trips (UK and overseas), trend predictions, catwalks and editorials
  • Working closely with product development teams
  • Completing spec sheets and design packs
  • Attend development meetings and bring product ideas
  • Working with the senior designer to product CADs, presentation boards and detailed tech packs
  • Update and move on bestselling pieces
  • Meet key dates and work within the critical path

Sock Designer - The Candidate:

  • You will have experience in industry across socks, nightwear or accessories
  • You will have a creative and commercial portfolio
  • Ability to work to deadlines and take direction
  • Excellent presentation skills and confidence when dealing with customers
  • Excellent CAD skills, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  • One remote working day
