Senior Product Development Manager - Jewellery

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Development Manager specialising in jewellery to join an award-winning jewellery brand. This role is an integral part of the business, where you will be responsible for helping deliver a strong pipeline of innovative products.

Previous jewellery experience and expertise in manufacturing and development is essential for this role. You will be contributing to the technical development of the full product range.

This role has a requirement to travel to Norfolk 2-3 days per week, to work with the team at their picturesque Holkham office and remote working for part of the week.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with suppliers to bring design ideas to life with pace and accuracy.
• Strong working knowledge of CADs which ensure the product will be viable
• Using technical understanding to foresee potential issues with product quality
• Working tightly to a critical path and working cross functionally with commercial and supplier teams
• Brief collections to suppliers, through clear verbal, written & visual presentations
• Raise sample purchase orders and communicate effectively with suppliers daily/regularly to track sample development progress within the required lead time.
• Take on sourcing projects to bring innovation to our portfolio of products including new stones, findings and components.
• Manage the design studio space, in parallel with the rest of the team, to keep it an inspirational space but also fully functional for the full team to maximise its benefit.

Person specification:

• Proven experience from a fast paced jewellery background
• Experience with managing external suppliers & product management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Well organised, can multi-task and prioritise effectively, with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
