Senior Manual Pattern Cutter

A fantastic opportunity for a Very Senior Manual Pattern Cutter to join a leading clothing
company based in North London who supply the High Street. This is a permanent
opportunity starting ASAP. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am-5.30pm
and Friday 9.00am-5.00pm. As a Pattern Cutter you will need to build positive relationships
within the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and able to work
in a fast-paced environment. Only want people who have worked in UK manufacturers
who deal with High Street and Supermarket chains.

The Role:

• When making patterns you have to have a complete understanding how
commercial garments are made in volume so factories can produce easy flowing
garments.

• Interpret ideas into sketches .

• To make patterns from sketches/photos/samples.

• Do fit comments and amend production patterns.

• Check production patterns are correct to spec.

• Pattern optimization for cost effective production.

• Working closely with garment tech and sample machinists.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working for a busy high street supplier within a
fast paced environment.

• Advantageous if has a design background and understands design requirements.

• Only ladieswear background including wovens and jersey.

• Ability to manually create/cut first patterns.

• Competent at pattern cutting to production level.

• Good commercial awareness and knowledge of garment construction.

• Ability to work successfully within a team to meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Passionate and enthusiastic.
