Jalin Design - Product Developer

Jalin Design Ltd is a high-end bespoke design and clothing label based in Queens Park in Northwest London.

We are currently looking for a talented Product Developer to join our growing team
This is an exciting role that will allow you to work with our extensive existing supply chain partners in Men's

and Womenswear high end bespoke uniform production.
Key Responsibilities:


• Administration - Supporting the Senor Product Developer with Supplier/Material sourcing and
development across multiple bespoke uniform collections


• Purchasing - Placing all material and trim purchase orders

• Development – Creating and updating the development spreadsheets material and trim reference /

prices

• Development – Able to create accessory, print and embroidery specs in Adobe Illustrator.

• Resources - Managing the in-house fabric and trim library to optimise productivity and archival

resources

• Technical - Updating Zedonk with Raw material information

This role includes:


• Supplier communication – Enquiries and updates on cloth and trim sampling and bulk orders, pricing
and lead-times


• Internal communication – Confirming cloth and trim information in-house and updating Client
Development sheets


• Inventory - Monitoring and updating material stocks at CMT and inhouse.

• Resources – Sourcing and developing components and suppliers to the creative brief.

• Technical - Updating Specification sheets with finalised components for production.

• Fabric Testing – Interpreting Fabric test reports for product suitability

• Quality Assurance - Recording material technical data to cross reference that fabrics are to spec

needed. This includes Fabric testing and wearer trials coordination.

• Referencing - Archiving development materials and production sourcing (supplier networks) for

projects

• Logistics – Managing all raw materials in transit to CMT for sampling and production.

• Quality Control – Assisting the production department with production QC.

• Reporting – Running stock reports on the system.

The successful candidate should:


• Experience as a PD and or Buying role for CMT production for luxury fashion.

• Be able to understand technical packs for sampling and production.

• Be able to understand different fabric requirements for different product types.

• Very confident on Excel (creating and updating spreadsheets) and working with management

software systems.

• Experience with Zedonk beneficial

• Experience: 3+ years

• Organised, methodical and confident with maintaining multiple critical paths.

• Creative thinker with a solution led attitude.

• Knowledge of ‘made to order’ and project-based garment production is beneficial.

• Menswear and Womenswear (multi-product) experience is an advantage.
