Junior - Mid Level Knitwear Designer

A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a Junior to Mid Level Knitwear Designer to join a thriving fashion business.

They are looking for a team player, someone who is hungry to progress in their knitwear career with flair and a passion for knitwear product. Working alongside a Senior Knitwear Designer this is an opportunity to learn and grow and assist on a high volume client. True Knitwear design experience and solid technical understanding required for this role.

Based in vibrant London offices with hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and working with the Senior Knitwear Designer to design commercial, fashion-led knitwear.
• Be up to date and research the latest fashion trends, produce trend boards, create seasonal trend/directional reports.
• Establish an innovative range.
• Ability to translate initial ideas & concepts into commercial designs.
• Travel for shopping trips - collating imagery/ garments to present new inspirations and trend to the design team.
• Liaise with overseas factories on a daily basis.
• Attend customer meetings and work to set briefs.
• Manage Sampling and Development of Critical Path.

Person Specifications:

• Minimum 3 years' experience working across knitwear for a fashion brand or supplier.
• Must have a strong commercial eye, and an ability to interpret trends.
• Excellent CAD and Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop skills.
• Strong organisation skills, and able to work to deadlines.
• Highly technical and solid understanding of yarns and garment construction.
