Junior Garment Technologist

We are seeking a Junior Garment Technologist to join a dynamic womenswear team for a fashion brand.

Based in London, this is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for garment construction and fit. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet high-quality standards, working closely with Designers, suppliers, and buying teams.

The role offers hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of womenswear garments from initial design to final production.
• Conduct fit sessions and provide technical feedback to ensure accurate garment construction.
• Measure and assess samples against size specifications, making necessary amendments.
• Work closely with designers and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all garments meet quality, fit, and brand standards before bulk production.
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical specifications, comments, and approvals.
• Support the senior garment tech team with daily tasks and project management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a garment technology role, ideally within womenswear.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fitting techniques.
• Experience working with factories and suppliers, preferably in both local and offshore production.
• Proficiency in measuring and assessing garment samples.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical software such as Adobe Illustrator or PLM systems (desirable).
