Junior Designer - Menswear

We have a great opportunity for Men's woven shirt designer to join a successful fashion brand . My client is looking for a commercial trend led designer with a focused on woven. The successful candidates will be part of a talented and growing team and will need to be confident to participate in customer meetings.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years design experience with a strong woven background within smart casual menswear from either a retailer or supplier.Friday's working from home .

Main Responsibilities will include:

• You will identify and translate the must-have trends for smart casual men's fashion.
• Attend presentations as and when required.
• Understand garment construction and production constraints.
• Sourcing new fabrics and developing newness.
• Produce detailed tech packs and liaise with overseas factories.
• Develop new trims and fabrics.
• Identify and update bestsellers to drive repeat business.
• Manage Sampling and Development of Critical Path.

Person Specification:

• Must have at least 2 years of designing commercial menswear.
• A strong background and understanding on woven fabrication
• Mens shirting experience
• Experience working with overseas factories.
• Confident presenting to a team and clearly demonstrate where your inspiration is coming from
• Excellent CAD skills ideally with Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Able to work on your own - take initiative and work as part of a team.
