About the Role…
We are seeking a talented Designer to lead the process of design and development of the beach, swim and nightwear department. Offering newness combined with an elevated handwriting, commerciality and value for money and a strong affinity for fast fashion influenced by the latest catwalk and trend predictions.
Attention to detail is essential as well as having a strong eye for branded identity, fabrications, trims with excellent knowledge of construction.

You will be:
Identifying new key shapes and trends, and delivering commercial products that fit the Lipsy brand portfolio’s handwriting
Presenting new product ranges to management and buying teams
Adapt and improve your designs based on feedback from buying and management, and react to current trade across the business
Contributing to mood and trend boards seasonally, including colour palettes, fabric & tim boards
Creating visual seasonal planning documents to aid development planning and influencing the wider business. Using in conjunction with self driven development critical path
Delivering the seasonal department strategy in collaboration with buying and merchandising
Understanding pricing-margins- design to price point
Liaising with buying on all order approvals and costing issues
Using your technical knowledge to participate in fit sessions in collaboration with buying and technical
Able to liaise with suppliers to ensure your designs are interpreted correctly and achieve a high hit rate on sampling.
Your Talent:
Previous experience working at a high street fashion retailer/supplier
Hands-on experience designing across beach, swim and nightwear
Strong eye for colour, trends, and fashion
Confident, can do attitude with the ability to influence others. Must have strong presentation skills and be experienced in presenting to senior management
Must have excellent time management and be able to plan development calendar to achieve option plan for key edit and sign off dates
Must be well organised, seeking input from Brand leaders
Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
Adept in technical drawings
Ability to translate trends into a commercial way for the Lipsy customer
Demonstrates accountability to deliver within role and drive the right results
Have an awareness of trends and impact of potential threats and opportunities
Excellent attention to detail
Passion for and understanding of the Lipsy brands
