This is an exciting opportunity to join our Head Office-based HR team as an HR Business Partner working with key stakeholders across our Head Office to drive sustainable, commercial success and ensure our people are at the core of everything we do.

In this brand-new function, sitting within our HR Business Partnering team, you will have lots of exposure to senior stakeholders, building open, productive working relationships with them, proactively working to ensure our people are front and centre of our business strategy. In this role you will play a proactive role, building organisational and people capability across our head office functions, supporting the effective implementation and ongoing management of all our people practices. 

You'll be a natural people-person with an adaptable leadership style, able to communicate confidently and influentially with anyone and everyone. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of how HR partners with the business to achieve our strategic goals through people.

Please note as per Lidl internal structures, your job title internally will be Senior Consultant.

What you'll do

Work closely with head office departments you are supporting, building good business acumen of their area and strategic objectives to ensure people are at the core of all decision making.

Work collaboratively with business leaders and line managers to inform them of the people strategy, supporting them to deliver throughout the year with impact.

Use evidence and data proactively to identify people trends and priorities to help inform decision making and actively support positive changes to HR KPIs and culture.

Support stakeholders to address current and future workforce requirements in terms of recruitment, headcount, and succession planning.

Support leaders to optimise performance by aligning individual performance objectives with business goals and guiding them through any performance management.

Use your people expertise to question and challenge stakeholders to get to the root of people and business issues and support them with action-oriented ways to move forward.

Provide guidance and support on people practices like organisational design and restructures in line with the relevant head office HR departments, supporting with change management when required.

Drive employee engagement by supporting stakeholders to analyse output of employee surveys and focus groups etc and encouraging line manager follow up and delivery of change off the back of the results.

Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve efficiency and effectiveness of people practices.

What you'll need

Exceptional communication skills, with a strong track record in relationship building bringing an ability to connect with people at all levels of the business.

Experience using various leadership styles to effectively influence, able to change your approach to depending on your audience.

Experience using data, metrics and/or evidence to inform and drive decision making and change.

A good knowledge and understanding of the organisation, the strategy, and customers as well as a strong understanding of people challenges (or a track record in being able to learn and develop business acumen quickly)

A result focused mindset to problem solving, with experience getting to the root of issues and finding sustainable, long term solutions  

The ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks concurrently within tight deadlines.

HR Business Partner experience is essential.

Excellent organisation and project management skills with a keen eye for detail

Proactive, motivated, and driven

Strong computer skills, including Word, Power point and Excel
