Head of Buying – Kidswear
A well loved British designer brand in London is seeking an experienced Head of Buying to lead their Kidswear category. The role reports to the CEO.
Head of Buying – Kidswear: The Role:
- Prepare the annual buying budget and outline the buying plan for the year.
- Responsible for the buying P&L for the Kidswear category across all geographies
- Align the buying plan with the overall business strategy
- Lead improvements in category buying by in-time buying, volume management, improve margins etc
- Manage and develop vendor and supplier relationships
- Lead and manage the buying team in Kidswear
Head of Buying - Kidswear: The Candidate:
You will
- have a strong kidswear buying background, ideally with a UK/European brand or specialised kidswear retailer
- be experienced in critical path management and margin optimisation
- have knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing methods
- have negotiation/influencing skills
- have a sharp business acumen and a broad skill set in management within large matrix structures
- have effective people management, team building and strong communication skills
- have confident presentations skills with excellent attention to detail
