Fabric Technologist

We are looking for an experienced Fabric Technologist to work with a leading and highly successful supplier to the high street. The successful candidate will work across all womenswear products.

This is a full time role , 5 days a week in the office based in Harrow.
The chosen candidate will have full responsibility for the fabric quality, testing and compliance.

• Support the fabric development process and ensure all fabrics are fit for purpose, meet testing requirements

• Providing fabric technical support to the internal team and customers

• Ensure fabric quality meets quality standards on time following the Critical Paths

• Work closely with and advise fabric suppliers of all required standards

• Maintain accurate records and assess test results of all fabric ensuring they meet required standards

• Manage any testing failures to find a soloution

• Confirm care labels

• Manage colour continuity when required

• Manage REACH & chemical compliance

  Candidate requirements

• Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of multiple fabric production processes and testing methods

• The skills to work closely with the customer base , and manage customer decision making

• An excellent knowledge of both woven and knitted fabric processes

• The ability to manage risk and make quick decisons

• Familiarity with UK retailers systems

• Ability to take responsibility and work independently
