Ecommerce Apprentice

The Ecommerce Apprentice will work closely with the E-Commerce Manager to help execute, deliver & report on the online strategy. They will support E-Business acceleration to achieve sales objectives & grow Benefit’s share of voice within the retailer. Sitting within the National Accounts Team, the role involves working alongside the Etail Manager to support key business goals.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:
• Performance Analysis: Collate and analyse sales data and performance using excel and online portals on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, providing insights and actionable commentary for reports. Share insights with a range of different departments, identifying points of interest within performance data and interpreting what next steps should be taken.
• Online Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with Design, external media agencies, and Online teams to plan, brief, and execute online marketing initiatives across website, app, social media, and email channels.
• Marketing & Campaign Reporting: Assist with marketing analysis, extracting key reports, collate sales and return on investment insights and providing recommendations for future campaigns based on monthly performance data.
• Liaison for Product Launches & Promotions: Act as a project manager between internal and external teams to ensure smooth execution of product launches, major promotions, and seasonal campaigns. Responsibilities here will include ensuring that the new product is set up correctly, agreed activity is briefed on time, goes live as planned and is maintained in line with the agreement.
• Promotional Planning: Collaborate with the Ecommerce Manager and Operations teams to implement agreed sampling and promotional programs, with clear evidence of events going live and tracking of results.
• Launch Tracker Management: Maintain the team's product launch tracker and ensure timely updates.
• Stock Management: Regularly collate online stock levels and work with the the etail manager and retailer’s supply teams to ensure 100% stock coverage and maintenance of the range online.
• Business Wholesale: Collective responsibility in conjunction with the NAM team for maintaining and delivering the Business Wholesale as well as maintaining the tracker on a weekly basis.
• Website Content Management: Oversee digital enrichment and website updates using the retailer’s product management system. To include collating NPD assets from relevant sources to share with the retailer by required deadlines and taking action on expired assets within 24 hours.
• Competitor & Website Audits: Conduct audits of your etail account on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday to ensure brand guidelines are met and provide insights on competitor launches and promotions sharing these back with the team. As well as auditing e-retail websites at peak times to be agreed with the etailer manager
• Reporting & Presentation Support: Assist in preparing presentations for monthly business meetings as well as taking notes for regular meetings and sharing with the team.
• Industry Trend Analysis: Monitor trends in the beauty and digital retail sectors, providing recommendations for growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:
• Interest in Ecommerce or Digital Marketing
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate data from various sources including excel and present findings clearly in reports and audits.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with strong communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders.
• Creative Thinking: A creative mindset with an eagerness to expand digital expertise.
• Highly Organised: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with initiative.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Team-Oriented: Collaborative with a strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
• Analytical Tools Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with web measurement and analytical tools.
• Industry Interest (Preferred): Passion for the beauty industry and luxury retail.

Based in Chelmsford, Essex, but travel nationwide and outside of office hours would be necessary at times.
