Director of Recruitment

We are looking for a highly passionate Director of Recruiting to join a leading and fast growing fashion business.

Based in California, this role is responsible for developing and executing a strategic hiring approach that attracts top-tier talent across all functions, including fashion buying, production, design, technology, marketing, and operations.

The ideal candidate will optimise hiring processes, collaborate closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, and build a high-performing recruiting team. This leader will ensure the recruitment strategy aligns with the company's core values, philosophies, and principles.

You must have the right to work in the USA to be considered for this role.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Build and lead a high-performing recruiting team with a deep understanding of key roles and hiring needs.
  • Work closely with the C-suite to fill key roles efficiently and strategically.
  • Partner directly with department leaders and hiring managers to define job responsibilities, qualifications, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Drive a proactive recruitment strategy focused on sourcing and headhunting top talent.
  • Establish recruitment processes to maintain a strong talent pipeline for recurring hiring needs.
  • Partner with key executives to gain a deep understanding of each department's core principles ensuring alignment in hiring top-tier talent.
  • Enhance employer branding and optimise the candidate experience to drive high-quality engagement.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class recruiting processes to enhance efficiency and improve the candidate experience.
  • Leverage diverse sourcing channels to identify and attract qualified candidate.

Person Specification:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in recruiting for a fashion business.
  • Strong understanding of key organisational roles across fashion, merchandising, technology, creative, and marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in managing a team of recruiters and collaborating closely with hiring managers.
  • Proven leadership experience in senior recruitment, ideally within fashion, e-commerce, or a high-growth digital environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Results-driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
