Our Own Label Buying team are now looking for a talented and creative Designer to join our team here at Harrods and play a key role in shaping the future of our Accessories, Gifts, Homeware, and Seasonal product collections. You will be responsible for researching, designing, and delivering innovative, best-in-class ranges that align with our brand strategy.
About the Role
As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you will work closely with Buyers, Merchandisers, and technical teams to develop mood boards, key shapes, and colour palettes that drive newness and enhance brand equity. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring a market-leading customer value proposition while maintaining premium quality and design standards.
Other responsibilities will include:
Design & Development – Researching and develop trend-led designs, ensuring best-in-class quality and premium aesthetics.
Range Strategy – Working closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to seasonal strategies and range planning.
Supplier Collaboration – Briefing suppliers and managing relationships to ensure the highest quality product execution.
Innovation & Market Research – Conducting competitor analysis and identify opportunities for product innovation.
Process & Compliance – Ensuring design processes are efficient, industry standard, and aligned with Harrods' sustainability commitments.
Project Management – Driving product development from initial concept to final delivery, meeting all key deadlines.
About You
You will be a highly creative and detail-oriented designer with experience in luxury or bridge-brand own-label design. You have a deep understanding of the luxury retail landscape, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to translate trends into commercially viable products.
You will also have:
Proven experience in Own Label Design, ideally within luxury or bridge brands.
A strong design aesthetic and the ability to create premium, trend-driven collections.
Excellent knowledge of product development, componentry, and supplier processes.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance creativity with business objectives.
Confidence in presenting ideas, challenging concepts, and influencing stakeholders.
