Account Manager - accessories
Located in one of Ibiza's most exclusive resort destinations, the Concept Store Manager is responsible for the P&L, daily operations and seasonal trading of the store, leading a team of four.
The goal is to maximize retail opportunities and set and achieve key performance indicators to meet sales targets (both for the store and staff) by providing an engaging, first-class customer experience, expert product knowledge, and clienteling expertise.
The ideal candidate must reside in Europe, ideally Ibiza and be fully fluent in English with at least 2 years of store management experience in premium fashion or luxury retail. Essential qualities include proactive leadership and proven retail experience in delivering an exceptional customer experience, supported by skilled execution of budgets, administration, targets, and objectives.
This remarkable destination attracts a global clientele, including celebrities and VIPs, with a discerning eye for luxury and vintage fashion and unique items.
As a permanent resort-based position in Ibiza, the season runs from March to November (with stores opening in April and closing in October), making it ideal for an experienced luxury fashion retail professional seeking a change of pace and lifestyle.
Main Responsibilities
Business/Commercial Awareness
- Manage the P&L, operations and business objectives of the store.
- Manage all back-office processes and procedures.
- Set and deliver key performance indicators (KPI's) against store and staff sales targets.
- Manage POS system, stock levels, replenishment, reporting and VM.
- Manage the staff rota and annual leave ensuring optimum cover at peak trading times.
- Maintain an effective clienteling strategy in collaboration with the head office team, establishing a product communication strategy to maintain client engagement and loyalty.
- Manage all store expenditures in line with the P&L.
- Collaborate with the head office team on store events, collaborations and press.
- Collaborate on policies, procedures and store guidelines and set the benchmark for best practice.
VM, Stock Management & Storage
- Contribute to the evolution of VM guidelines.
- Ensure delicate or fragile items are suitably displayed and merchandise is shaded from the sun.
- Ensure the safety of high-value items in line with procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of organisation and storage for stock at all times.
- Conduct weekly and monthly stock reconciliation
Recruitment/Training & Development
- Alongside the sales team deliver a first-class customer experience, building client relationships, understanding preferences and sharing information with the head office team to influence assortment and replenishment.
- Ensure all employees are fully trained and inducted into the company following management and retail guidelines.
- Implement weekly and monthly training to continually develop individuals and deepen product knowledge, stock management, VM, customer service and clienteling best practices.
Team Management
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and organisation of the store and team.
- Effective coaching and leadership with timely and ongoing training.
- Write and conduct performance reviews.
Customer Experience
- Ensure the client experience is a transformational one from start to finish.
- Introduce VIP clients to key members of the team behind the concept stores.
- Maintain a high standard of visual presentation.
- Utilise visual merchandising to react to best sellers and encourage sales tactically and strategically.
- Participate in the organisation and curation of store events.
Health & Safety
- Include health & safety training in all staff inductions.
- Carry out regular risk assessments.
- Ensure there is a qualified first aider.
Administration
- Daily and weekly store administration, including reporting, payroll, rota management, annual leave, etc.
- Maintain accurate employee files.
- Provide all relevant documentation to payroll.
Essential Skills
- Store Manager with a minimum of 2 years of retail store management experience.
- Premium or luxury fashion experience is essential.
- Expertise in managing a store including P&L, KPI's, team, trading, operations, objectives, targets and results.
- Skilled in the administration of all back-office procedures and processes.
- Track record in curating and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Ability to nurture, inspire and lead through the team.
- Effective and proactive communication at all levels.
- Numerate and proficient in MS Office including Excel.
- Full driving license and a car to commute to work.
- Ideally, a resident in Ibiza.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary: € in line with experience + performance-related bonus.
- 31 days annual leave pro-rata in line with start date including public holidays.
- 40-hour working week.
