Assistant Print Designer - Childrenswear

Our Assistant Designers here at Next are always looking forward. Looking for that Next thing, focusing on trend and pushing the boundaries of what we can offer our fantastic customer base. Working as a key part of the critical path; creating new and innovative designs across Childrenswear.

Please ensure you are attaching an updated portfolio to your application. Without a portfolio, we cannot consider you for this design led position.

We are looking for someone with great experience within print design with an interest in more graphics based design too. Please note this is a Garment print/graphics design position

The role
Looking at fresh, new print and graphics based design reflected in current trends will be a big part of the role. Researching the latest trends relevant to various customer profiles, then communicating this information to your team and senior managers is a key part of this role. We would ask you to produce creative designs that tastefully represent and reflect the latest trends into the Next customer base. Travel is also a big part of this role as well as collaboration across the team.

About you
We would love you to have previous experience working within childrenswear print design with a nod to graphics - particularly Older Girls design for a UK brand or high street retailer. Previous experience working on multi-product would be desirable but not essential. A great taste level and a real passion for the latest trends and how to translate these to your designs, whilst having an enthusiastic attitude and team player.

The team
You would be joining an amazing team whose enthusiasm for design and elevation is the main focus. A wealth of experience across multi-fabrications and innovative progression is one of the many plus points of joining this team! Let’s have fun with design!

Your benefits
We’ll discuss more of what you’ll get when you work for Next at interview, but here’s an overview of what you can expect:
