My client is a business that helps global brands build culture, awareness, and meaningful connections. They extend their customers values in thoughtful, sustainable, globally conscious ways to create branded moments that people love. A great opportunity for a Assistant Buyer to join this leading promotional merchandise company in their London office. You will be working alongside an experienced Buying Team on a range of blue-chip clients. 

What we’re looking for:

• We are looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer to work alongside an experienced Buying Team on a range of blue-chip clients.
• Working with the in-house design and sales teams on product ideas, concepts and project management
• Assisting with idea generation and preparation of client presentations
• Managing a core supplier base whilst bringing on new supply routes
• Sourcing from the Far East and Europe
• Negotiating costings and ensuring projects are delivered within budget
• Writing detailed product specifications and purchase orders
• Liaising with all departments to ensure projects are delivered to schedule
• Defining quality requirements

What you’ll need:

• Of graduate calibre or higher education
• A can-do attitude and willingness to tackle a diverse array of tasks.
• A minimum of 3 years’ previous experience would be an advantage.
• A keen interest in consumer/ promotional products and an interest in quality assurance, and ethical sourcing from manufacturers in the UK, EU, Turkey and the Far East.
• Commercially aware.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport and communicate at all levels.
• To be a real team player, with personality, empathy and the drive to succeed, with exceptional organisational skills and excellent attention to detail is crucial for this role.
