Assistant Buyer / Junior Buyer / Buyer

We are working with a number of clients in Scotland who are looking to bring on different levels of buying talent into their teams.

If you are operating at Assistant, Junior or Entry Level Buyer then it'd be great to connect.

These roles could be the perfect opportunity to any candidate that has been exploring the buying industry in the North West or London but are now ready to relocate home to Scotland.

Skillset and Experience required:

• Ability to manage the critical path
• Range plan management
• Strong trading experience with contributing to trade meetings but also executing actions to manage your stock and cash flow
• Management of UK, European and Far East Suppliers
• Ideally experienced in fashion - apparel & non-clothing (Accessories & Footwear)
• Experienced in cost price negotiation
• Management of profitable and realistic margin (BIM) targets
• Range building cohesive, well-balanced ranges
• Ability to set clear pricing models in place (good, better, best)
• If at JB or Buyer level - proven record of building strong strategies at the start of a season with proven results
• OTB management, trading effectively in-season
• Supplier management & onboarding
• Departmental critical path management (lessons learnt, range building, sign off, purchase orders, lead times, research trips etc)
• Stock management : carry over, seasonality, volume vs trend buys
• Other: comp shops, sample management, fit sessions..
