Apparel Graphic Designer

They have over 20 years of experience in the licensing industry and have considerable knowledge and contacts within the licensing arena, that enables them to stay at the forefront of the licensing industry. They have a comprehensive portfolio of key global brands covering everything from babywear to kids to adult on daywear, nightwear, outerwear, essentials, swimwear and accessories.
They are seeking a talented and creative licence Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating ideas into visually appealing licence designs, can adapt between kids and adults, staying up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, and ensuring that our apparel designs meet the highest quality standards
Apparel Graphic Designer - The Role:
- Continual Research: Stay informed about the latest fashion trends and printing techniques to ensure that our designs remain relevant and innovative.
- Trend and Mood Boards: Create trend and mood boards at the beginning of each season to inspire and guide the design process.
- Design to Buyer's Brief: Collaborate closely with buyers to understand their requirements and design graphics that align with their vision.
- Presentation Skills: Present your designs to both internal and external teams, effectively communicating your concepts and ideas.
- Apparel Printing and Garment Construction: Possess a deep understanding of apparel printing techniques and garment construction to ensure that your designs are both visually appealing and feasible for production.
- Liaison with Approvals Team: Collaborate with the approvals team to obtain concept approvals and ensure that designs meet quality and brand standards.
- Technical Skills: Create detailed tech packs and collaborate with factories to produce buying samples, ensuring accurate execution of your designs.
Apparel Graphic Designer - The Candidate:
- Continual Research: A strong commitment to staying updated on fashion trends, licences and printing techniques is essential.
- Trend and Mood Boards: Proficiency in creating visually compelling trend and mood boards.
- Designing to Brief: Ability to design according to specific buyer briefs and adapt to various style preferences.
- Presentation: Strong presentation and communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Apparel Printing and Garment Construction: In-depth knowledge of apparel printing techniques and garment construction.
- Liaison with Approvals Team: Experience in working closely with approvals teams to ensure design compliance.
- Tech Pack Creation: Expertise in creating comprehensive tech packs for production.
- Software Knowledge Required: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word
