jakke is a Faux Fur Fashion label created in 2015. They are the leaders in cool, fun alternatives to real fur offering a selection of statement yet wearable outerwear pieces.
Their faux fur jackets are cruelty free, which means that no animal suffered for one of their fabulous fluffy pieces. Each one of their faux furs has a removable “Free From Fur” patch on the sleeve to be worn with pride
Faux Fur (outerwear) is the core and foundation of the jakke brand but they also produce beautiful knitwear pieces, faux leather and puffer jackets all “Free From” animals.
Awarded “Best Faux Fur Brand” in 2018, jakke was pleased to be recognised by PETA alongside luxury powerhouse brands Gucci, Stella McCartney and Net a Porter for their animal friendly achievements.
Jakke was Co-founded by East London Designer Nina Hopkins. Immersed in fashion from a young age and with over 15 years design experience, her designs have been stocked in some of the coolest stores around the world including Liberty London, Opening Ceremony and Top Shop.
Nina has worked with faux fur in particular for over 10 years. Her experience in this product was the driving force for creating jakke.
It was while designing outerwear for some of the nation’s favourite high street fashion multiples that Nina struck on the idea of creating directional faux fur jackets and coats priced affordably enough to let fashion-forward women buy confidently into ethical fashion.
Since its launch in 2015, Jakke has been stocked by some of the most influential global stores including Kadewe Germany, Asos UK, The Iconic Australia and Rinascente Italy.
